Students of EIU Win 2 Prizes at the 2023 Korea – Vietnam Creative Idea Competition

With the guidance of Ms. Lê Thu Hằng, a lecturer from the Becamex Business School, 6 students divided into 2 teams from the School, including Nguyễn Hoàng Thanh Thư, Phạm Bá Tấn Tài, Lê Hồng Dương, Đinh Văn Quyết, Trần Minh Tuyết, and Bùi Văn Đạt, have respectively achieved the ‘Award of Daejeon Association of Disabled Persons Information Union’ and the ‘Award of Woosong University LINC 3.0’ at the 2023 Korea – Vietnam Creative Idea Competition. The event was attended by Mr. Nguyễn Văn Lộc, Member of the Provincial Standing Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People’s Council of Bình Dương.

The competition involved the participation of 12 teams formed in collaboration between 5 South Korean universities and 7 Vietnamese universities, including Eastern International University, Vietnam-Germany University, Thu Dau Mot University, Binh Duong University, Binh Duong University of Economics and Technology, Vietnam-Singapore Vocational College, and Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology and Education.

The theme of this year’s competition is Smart City and Smart Mobility. The 12 participating teams have designed ideas for a smart city in the future that meets criteria such as environmental friendliness, closeness to residents, and development in economic, health, commercial, and technological sectors.

The competition aims to promote enhanced collaboration between universities in South Korea and universities in Vietnam, showcasing the friendly cooperative relationship between the two countries, especially the relationship between Daejeon City and Binh Duong Province.

Earlier, on November 28, at Thu Dau Mot University, a cooperation agreement signing ceremony took place among various universities from Vietnam and South Korea. As one of the universities in Binh Duong province, Eastern International University, along with other South Korean universities, signed a memorandum of understanding with key content such as: Collaborative development in infrastructure; Financial support for students from the universities in international cooperation activities; Development and exchange of human resources, enhancing the quality of students and faculty at the respective universities; Collaboration in technology transfer and technology development based on the capabilities and strengths of each university; Building a collaborative cultural foundation among the universities.
